Welcome!
I am Eviana Gerousi, an artist born in Belgium in 2001 and raised in the vibrant cultural landscape of Greece. My artistic journey took a transformative turn during my teenage years in Dubai, where I honed my skills in art and photography. This journey was marked by being named ‘Artist of the Year 2019‘ at the Dubai English Speaking College (DESC), a milestone that propelled me to the University of the Arts London. Currently, I am immersed in my Master of Fine Arts studies at the Royal College of Art, delving deeper into the realms of artistic expression.
My work is anchored in the belief that art serves as a universal language, capable of bridging diverse communities and touching lives. I strive to infuse everyday existence with the profound beauty of art, balancing representation with abstraction, sensitivity with expressiveness, and boldness with restraint. This intricate interplay of elements reflects my deep understanding of both form and emotion.
My vibrant and abstract paintings seek to capture and preserve fleeting moments. Each large-scale piece acts as a visual diary, reflecting my daily experiences and personal journey. Through these works, I aim to share intimate feelings and memories, encouraging viewers to explore their own narratives and emotions. I see my art as an invitation to connect deeply with your own experiences.

My multicultural background and extensive travels have profoundly influenced my artistic approach. The diverse cultures I’ve encountered have ignited my passion for exploring the relationship between art and storytelling. This global perspective informs my abstract landscapes, where I blend various materials and psychological nuances to create evocative pieces. My art is more than a visual representation; it embodies the essence of my diverse experiences and relentless curiosity.
A central theme in my work is the concept of presence. I am fascinated by how an artist can breathe life into non-existent elements and discern the precise moment to unveil them to the public. This exploration of existence and perception is a philosophical underpinning of my abstract work.
Art, for me, is a catalyst for community expansion and development. It offers opportunities and grounds us in reality. I believe that creativity enhances human communication and fosters intellectual growth, making art an essential tool for personal and communal development. My mission is to weave art into the fabric of our lives, enhancing our ability to communicate and understand one another.
As you engage with my work, I invite you to pause, reflect, and delve into the multilayered narratives I present. My paintings are not just visual experiences but profound explorations of the human psyche and our interactions with the world. Each piece is an opportunity to transcend boundaries, evoke deep emotions, and inspire change. Join me in this journey of artistic exploration and discover the boundless potential of art to transform and connect us all.
